"Volcanic Nonagon" transforms an image of a volcanic boulder, resembling a tiny planet, or meteor, discovered nestled within Kauai’s volcanic landscape, into a series of geometric planes projecting from the surface of the wall. The wall disintegrates into a void as the sculpture appears to float in space, glowing from within like an otherworldly geode.
