"Volcanic Water Triad" explores notions of time, space, and velocity. The components depict three states of water, turned red as it traveled across the Kauai landscape’s mineral rich volcanic clay. The forms are bound together via shared geometry in stainless steel vessels, reflecting the flow between the three components with the radiance of internal light, in an abstract expression of the fractal nature of water. The manipulation of shutter speed plays with perception of time, depicting three physical states of water.
